Overview

At Verizon, I worked on both CX and EX products that helped empower existing customers and employees with their account/device management. Worked as a single designer to Improve the overall experience for Door-to-door sales campaigns. 

- Lead and Territory management: Re-designed an interface to unify 3 disjointed experience that resulted in a CRM tool where supervisors can model their sales territories into a logical and flexible structure to maps the right sales reps to the right customers.
- Canvassing iPad and Android app: App for door-to-door agents that provide simple field campaigning, ground efficiently, and ability to track and measure canvassing real-time.

Visual Design & Agency Work
  • Spearheaded the transition from traditional print to digital platforms, including the development of microsites, by leveraging advanced UX principles and leading the Verizon Cloud team in creating innovative, user-centric design solutions that enhance brand presence and optimize user interactions across multiple channels.

  • Verizon Employee Experience team requested to leverage email campaigns that matched the Verizon cloud initiative

  • Developed intuitive user interfaces for Verizon Cloud's multimedia solutions, enhancing user engagement by conducting thorough user research and usability testing to ensure a seamless experience across various devices.

  • Designed creative content and implemented multimedia content strategies that integrated visually compelling graphics, videos, and interactive elements, resulting in increased user retention and improved brand visibility within digital advertising initiatives.

Verizon Cloud

The new, redesigned, Verizon Cloud App is a next generation cloud storage and sharing application that comes pre-installed on all Verizon phones. It allows people to backup and store photos, videos, music, contacts and documents in their personal cloud. I designed the forward-thinking mobile user experience and interface across both Android and iOS devices.

Goals & Objectives

The core focus of the new app is on giving clarity to the user. From our user research, we learned that users just want to know when their files are going to backed up and that they have successfully done so. This design uses natural language to make it the settings very clear from the beginning, and also clearly communicates when a backup is set to occur, is in progress, or has an issue.

What was executed

Enhanced Information Display: Identified the absence of crucial details regarding recent backup file statuses. Designed and implemented visual indicators to provide users with real-time updates on their backup files, enhancing their ability to manage and monitor their data effectively.

Storage Insights Improvement: Recognized the need for clearer storage information. Developed a streamlined interface component that displays comprehensive storage metrics, enabling users to understand their available space and make informed decisions about data management.

Desktop App Integration: Addressed the lack of connectivity with the desktop application by designing a seamless integration feature. This included creating intuitive prompts and links that facilitate easy access to the desktop app, thereby improving user engagement and overall workflow efficiency.

These enhancements significantly improved the toolbar's usability, facilitating better navigation and user interaction.

What was the result

The redesign of the Verizon Cloud toolbar significantly elevated usability and user engagement. Key enhancements included the integration of advanced features such as Backtrak, comprehensive storage insights, and seamless connectivity with the desktop application.

In leading the Verizon Cloud toolbar project, I executed a user-centric design approach that prioritized the needs and preferences of our users. The implementation of Agile sprints was pivotal, allowing design, development, and product teams to maintain alignment and adapt swiftly to evolving requirements. Regular weekly meetings cultivated a strong collaborative spirit, essential for effectively addressing technical challenges. The unwavering dedication of the development team played a crucial role in delivering a smooth and reliable user experience, ultimately positioning the toolbar as a vital tool for our users.
